Remakes

Ventana Sur, in collaboration with the Academia de las Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Argentina and the Malaga Film Festival through its industry zone MAFIZ, open this special call for Ibero-American feature films that have been produced and commercially released prior to 2013, considering that innovations in technology, changes in social and cultural spheres validate the desire to bring back through REMAKES the most attractive titles at the time of their production to transport them freely to the codes of current audiences. We believe it is necessary to support this possibility to expand the business options for films and contribute to develop options for our Ibero-American industry, strengthening our creators, idiosyncrasy and identity.

In tune with this idea, representatives of the Academia de las Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de la Argentina will curate the pre-selection of up to 15 feature films, from which a final selection of up to 8 films will be presented at Remakes Pitching Sessions, which will take place between November 27 and December 1 at the Ventana Sur Market.
