The Ventana Sur documentary section
VENTANA DOC is a boutique space focused on the documentary market that offers a curated platform for feature-length documentary projects in development and work-in-progress (WIP) with the opportunity to be presented to key industry players.
The objective is to create a space that promotes in various stages the best of Latin American documentary cinema to come.
VENTANA DOC – PITCH
Call for documentary feature film projects in development to participate in VENTANA DOC PITCH: an intensive preparation and pitch workshop to be held within the framework of Ventana Sur.
VENTANA DOC WIP- Work in Progress
Call for feature-length documentary projects with a cut of a minimum of 45 minutes to participate in the VENTANA DOC WIP space, to be developed within the framework of Ventana Sur.

SANFIC INDUSTRIA – VENTANA DOC Award, it consists of a direct selection for one of the projects in development stage to the SANTIAGO LAB DOCUMENTAL to be held in August 2025. The award consists of direct selection, accreditation and accommodation for two representatives of the project.

Direct selection and accreditation for the participation of a project in the Business Rounds and Co-Production Meeting of the 11th edition of DOCSP to be held in August 2025 in São Paulo, Brazil.

Award during VENTANA DOC WIP section: 2 Industry accreditations + direct selection in the Artistic Consultancies *The Award does not include travel or accommodation during the festival.
In the last editions the Artistic Consultancies have been held virtually, but for the 2025 edition they will return to a face-to-face format during the festival. But as this is the first edition, we will have more flexibility to carry them out online’.

Participation in Cannes Docs 2025 as ‘Spotlighted Project’, including 2 accreditations for the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes.
SHEFFIELD
Sheffield DocFest Network ing Award – Two accreditations for the next SHEFFIELD DOCFEST.
FICGUADALAJARA
The award consists of the selection of a project for the Meeting of Co-production of Industria FICG to be held in June 2025.
Includes selection, accreditation for up to two team members, accommodation during the days of the Coproduction Meeting and access to the activities of Industry and Festival Market.
The 40th edition of the FICG will take place from June 6 to 14, 2025.
The award does not include plane tickets, these must be covered by the members of the selected project.
